Make a Fairy Garden to Enter in the Schuylerville Garden Club Flower Show!! In-Person
This program is Part II of a collaborative effort between the Schuylerville Garden Club and the Schuylerville Public Library to provide area Youth with the opportunity to create a plant based Fairy Garden which will be displayed at the annual SGC Flower Show to be held July 12th and 13th. Each participant will design a Fairy Garden based upon a Fairy Tale of their choosing. Think of the fun ideas one can create using a Fairy Tale theme such as: The Pied Piper, Goldilocks, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Rapunzel, The Prince and the Frog, The Princess and the Pea, Hansel and Gretel....the list is almost endless!! Materials (containers, plants, soil and a some accessories) will be available to make the gardens, but it is highly encouraged for participants to bring accessories (and the plant container) they have collected after participation in Part I of the program.**
All of the gardens created on June 28th will be on display at the library until the Flower Show. Starting July 14th, the gardens can be collected at the library to take home.
** (While Part I of the program was held on May 17th, youth are still welcome participate in just Part II. Youth who already have started the project on May 17th will be putting their plants into their already designed garden, and have time to "tweak" the final result. Those who have not yet started the project will need at least one hour to put one together.
