The Schuylerville Garden Club in collaboration with the Schuylerville Public Library invites area Youth  to a preliminary workshop to learn about designing a Fairy Dish Garden which will be  displayed at the annual Flower Show. The theme of this year's Flower Show (on July 12th and 13th) is based on Fairy Tales and entitled "Once Upon  Time." . Participants will learn about materials that are necessary and accessories they may want to bring to add to their design. Samples of containers will be available for participants to choose from to take home. The actual designing of the Fairy Dish Gardens will be on June 28th, from 10:30-1:30 p.m.  Members of the Schuylerville Garden Club will be present to assist for both the Part I session on May 17th and for the design portion, Part II, on June 28th.   Each participant is encouraged to design their garden based upon a Fairy Tale.    This will be explained in more detail at the Part I workshop.  Samples of Fairy Gardens will be on display.  Discussion about containers, soil, plants and accessories will take place.  In between Part I and Part II (on June 28th) participants are invited to experiment with their designs and accessories.  A completed garden can be brought to the library on June 28th, or, the participant can build their design on that date.  For questions please contact Mary Lou Baker at the library!!
